Pride in the Moorlands 2026 took the Pride Torch right across the Staffordshire Moorlands over three days at the end of June, with the brilliant Outside Arts.

Friday 26 June – Flash. The Torch began its journey at Britain’s highest village. We raised the Progress Pride flag above the moors and waved the Torch off with ribbons, flags and a lot of sunshine.

Saturday 27 June – Cheadle. The Torch arrived in Cheadle, where the Club Tropicana Zumba party filled the leisure centre and a craft session turned out a table full of hand-made Pride banners.

Sunday 28 June – Endon and Leek. After a morning welcome at Endon Village Hall, the Torch reached Sparrow Park in Leek and led the Pride Parade through the town. Punjabi Roots’ bhangra dancers and drummers, a giant curlew puppet and hundreds of marchers filled the Market Place, and the party carried on with drag, music and dancing in Leek Indoor Market.

Thank you to everyone who marched, danced, volunteered, performed and cheered.
