A steering group meeting for Pride in the Moorlands 2026 was held at 6:30 PM on Wednesday at the Foxlowe Arts Centre. The meeting focused on reviewing the schedule of events.
The session was led by Katie Aldous (Director), Amy Ford (Project Lead), and Lydia Naylor (Operations Manager), who provided an overview of the organised activities. Several new community members attended the meeting. The group remains open to the public, and anyone interested in participating is welcome to join – we’ll post meeting details on the website.
During the session, Katie and Amy commended the committee and volunteers for their recent work on distributing promotional posters across the area.
Key Discussion Points
- Event Review: Attendees reviewed the upcoming programme of local, accessible activities scheduled for the Pride weekend from June 26th to June 28th.
- Volunteer Recruitment: A primary focus of the meeting was the urgent need for more volunteers. To successfully manage the various events planned across the district, additional support is required.
How to Get Involved
The Pride in the Moorlands events rely on community involvement to run smoothly. If you are able to donate your time to assist with event logistics, stewarding, or general coordination, your help would be greatly appreciated.
